My Story
Hi, my name is Bridie and I look forward to connecting with you!

I am a forever student of Yoga and Ayurveda and live on the Island I was born and raised, Tasmania, Australia. In 2019 I completed my Yoga Teacher Training in Hobart Tasmania with Yoga Space and in 2021, began studying my Advanced Diploma in Ayurveda with the Australian Institute of Health (AIHFE) based in Western Australia.
My love of dance growing up lead me to Yoga in my late teens. Movement for me has always felt like medicine. I completed a short meditation course when I was 17 and fell in love with the practice. I've always felt highly sensitive to the world around me, a deep knowing in my core that there is something much greater than what we can see in this physical reality but something I could never quite put into words. Meditation enabled me to further connect with this sense and sparked a light in me to follow the pull of my heart and seek the life of my dreams.

I worked full-time as a Hairdresser straight out of college for 8 years, a childhood dream occupation of mine. Towards the end of my hairdressing career, I started to feel that the state of the industry did not align with my values. I loved being creative, I loved meeting many interesting people, I loved helping them to feel fresh and uplifted. But I knew I could do more to help, help from not just the outside in but from the inside out. I had to share yoga and meditation.

A module of my Yoga Teacher Training was Ayurveda. I remember sitting for the day, listening to the guest Ayurvedic Doctor as well as throughout my whole yoga training and experiencing fragments of my being lighting up, finally words to translate that deep knowing. After completing my Yoga Teacher Training, I left the salon and began a career in yoga, managing and teaching classes at a Yoga Studio. It was throughout this work that I began to study Ayurveda. Before long my heart had another deep pull. I couldn't just learn Ayurveda, I had to embody it.

I resigned from my job, rented out my home and bought a van. I travelled Australia for 6 months and created space to re-invent my lifestyle to continue to be greater aligned with nature, the greatest principle of Ayurveda. I needed to for my own health and I needed to to show others that it is possible to co-create their own reality, take control of their own health and support our natural environment.

After many years of suffering from hormonal problems (at one point a diagnosis of PCOS), acne, IBS issues, gluten intolerance, low energy and a foggy head I slowly began to heal through lifestyle and nutritional changes aligned with the principles of Ayurveda. I experienced my menstrual cycle return and regulate, my digestive system to calm and rebalance and now enjoy eating ALL foods and the fog lifted from my mind!

I understand that life is unpredictable, it ebbs and flows just like the seasons. I am only human, no-one is perfect and sometimes life takes over and we can start to feel the negative effects of living out of rhythm and alignment. I no longer fear these patterns because I know I have the tools to support my body, mind and spirit back to a state of balance and I can't wait to support you too!!
